The Spirit of Endless Possibilities

After a warm welcome to the island the night before, the summit kicked off with a beautiful morning run around the island. This was followed by insightful keynote sessions from commercetools' Global VP of Channel & Alliances, Dirk Weckerlei, who was fully dressed in this year's theme: an astronaut suit. He enlightened us on the history and exciting future of the commercetools partner ecosystem.

Next up, commercetools founder and CEO Dirk Hoerig spoke about the overall economy and commercetools' point of view on all of this. Also, Kelly Goetsch, Chief Strategy Officer, took the stage to talk about overall corporate strategy. To conclude the first session, Andrea Stubbe (VP Product) revealed the commercetools roadmap for the near future.

After a satisfying lunch break, we dispersed to participate in breakout sessions on technical and business topics. During these sessions, partners were truly inspired by the experiences of commercetools customers. They gave us their vision on why they had chosen commercetools and how they had experienced working with system integrators, such as supersonic. These sessions provided many interesting angles to use in future projects.

After an engaging day filled with keynote sessions and inspiring breakout sessions at the Commercetools Partner Summit in Croatia, attendees were treated to a memorable evening. The Sunset Drinks event, sponsored by Google Cloud and Worldpay, offered a chance to relax and enjoy a cocktail while taking in the beautiful island scenery. Colleagues also took the opportunity to snap some envy-inducing photos on the swingset-in-the-sea.

As the sun set and the wind picked up, we donned our attire and headed to the commercetools Partner Award Ceremony. The day ended with a lively party around the pool, providing a fitting conclusion to a productive and enjoyable event.

Overall, the event was a huge success and left us inspired to bring on new projects, and new business cases and aspire to an even stronger collaboration with commercetools.
